Deleting Sent Messages To delete a sent message: 1 From the main menu, select Messages > Text Outbox. 2 Scroll to the message you want to delete. To delete all unlocked sent messages: 1 From the main menu, select Messages > Text Outbox. 4 Press A under Yes to confirm. Resending Messages To resend a message: 1 From the main menu, select Messages > Text Outbox. 2 Scroll to the message you want to resend. -orPress the number of the message you want to resend. Select Resend. Locking and Unlocking Sent Messages When you lock a message, it cannot be deleted until you unlock it. Locking a Message 1 From the main menu, select Messages > Text Outbox. 2 Scroll to the message you want to lock or unlock. 3 Press m. 67 Text Messages 4 Select Lock. Unlocking a Message 1 From the main menu, select Messages > Text Outbox. By pressing m anytime while in My Info, a submenu will appear that includes your phone's service status, unit information, and phone identification numbers including IMEI, SIM ID, and Serial Number (SN). Please be prepared to supply the representative with this information when requesting these types of transactions. Editing My Info To edit My Info to enter or change the text that appears in My Name: 1 2 3 4 From the main menu, select My Info. See "Entering Text" on page 58. When you are finished, press O. 69 My Info You can also edit the information in Line 1, Line 2, and Ckt, but your changes are only temporary. The next time your phone registers on the network, your actual phone numbers and circuit data number appear again in My Info. 4 A checkmark appears next to the fields that will be sent. To add or remove the checkmark, select the field. 5 When you are finished, press A under Done. Setting Sending Options Your phone can send information in My Info to other phones that have this capability. You can control what portion of the information in My Info is sent and whether it is sent automatically in every InstantLINC Mobile to Mobile call or only when you choose to send it. Automatic Sending To control whether your information is sent automatically: 1 2 3 4 From the main menu, select My Info. To set your information to be sent automatically, set this option to On. -orTo set your information to be sent only when you choose to send it, set this option to Off. Information Sent The information your phone sends always includes My Name and LINC ID. [. . . ] Defects or damage that result from: (a) improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neglect, such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, etc. ) to the surface of the product resulting from misuse; (b) contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or heavy perspiration, sand, dirt or the like, extreme heat, or food; (c) use of the Products or Accessories for commercial purposes or subjecting the Product or Accessory to abnormal usage or conditions; or (d) other acts which are not the fault of Motorola, are excluded from coverage. Use of Non-Motorola Products and Accessories. Defects or damage that result from the use of Non-Motorola branded or certified Products, Accessories, Software or other peripheral equipment are excluded from coverage. Defects or damages resulting from service, testing, adjustment, installation, maintenance, alteration, including without limitation, software changes, or modification in any way by someone other than Motorola, or its authorized service centers, are excluded from coverage. Products or Accessories with (a) serial numbers or date tags that have been removed, altered or obliterated; (b) broken seals or that show evidence of tampering; (c) mismatched board serial numbers; or (d) nonconforming or non-Motorola housings, antennas, or parts, are excluded from coverage.
