[. . . ] Backlight -- Don't set the backlight for the display to be always on. Try turning it off completely, or setting it to two seconds. Volume -- Higher volumes draw more power. The rating for your player was determined using a volume of 15. Bitrate -- Higher bitrates draw more power than lower ones. Audio format -- WMAs use more processing power than MP3s. Standard headphones -- High-powered headphones use more power.
