By default, Microsoft ActiveSync converts documents that it recognizes to simpler formats. With File Viewer, this is not necessary. Before you synchronize emails or copy files to your phone for the 1st time, you should disable this conversion, or you will not be able to open the email attachments or copied files with File Viewer.
