[. . . ] APPLIANCES WITHOUT FITTED PLUG FITTING A PLUG - IMPORTANT The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: GREEN & YELLOW : EARTH BLUE : NEUTRAL BROWN : LIVE As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured GREEN & YELLOW must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter ‘E’ or by the earth symbol or coloured green or green and yellow. The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter ‘N’ or coloured black. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter ‘L’ or coloured red. This appliance is manufactured to conform to the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1989 and is designed to comply with BS 3456. It complies with the requirements of the EEC Directive (89/336/EEC). - Your appliance is intended solely for domestic , indoor use. - Unplug your appliance when you are not using it or when you are cleaning it. - Never unplug the appliance from the socket by pulling on the cable. - Do not use your appliance if it is not working correctly or if it has been damaged. Either a sachet of descaler, first diluting it with 2 large cups of water. - Pour the preparation into the tank and run the coffee maker (without coffee). - Allow the equivalent of one cupful to run into the jug, then stop. - Allow the descaling solution remaining in the coffee maker to work for 1 hour.
