[. . . ] Setting to [Startup] enables the CPU running at the fastest speed which is detected by system. Adjusted CPU Frequency It shows the adjusted CPU frequency (FSB x Ratio). Advance DRAM Configuration Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu and the following screen appears. Configuration DRAM Timing by SPD Setting to [Enabled] enables DRAM CAS# Latency automatically to be determined by BIOS based on the configurations on the SPD (Serial Presence Detect) EEPROM on the DRAM module. 1N/2N M emory Timing This item controls the SDRAM command rate. Select [1N] makes SDRAM signal controller to run at 1N (N=clock cycles) rate. Selecting [2N] makes SDRAM signal controller run at 2N rate. MEMORY-Z Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu and the following screen appears. DIM M1/2/3/4 Memory SPD Information Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu and the following screen appears. 3-22 BIOS Setup DIMM 1/2/3/4 Memory SPD Information These items display the current status of the current DIMM Memory speed information such as momory type, max bandwidth, manufacture, part number, serial number, SDRAM cycle time, DRAM TCL, DRAM TRCD, DRAM TRP, DRAM TRAS, DRAM TRFC, DRAM TWR, DRAM TWTR, DRAM TRRD and DRAM TRTP. X. M. P Support Information Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu and the following screen appears. These items display the current status of the X. M. P support information such as , memory voltage, max bandwidth, SDRAM cycle time, DRAM TCL, DRAM TRCD, DRAM TRP, DRAM TRAS, DRAM TRFC, DRAM TWR, DRAM TWTR, DRAM TRRD and DRAM TRTP. They are read only. 3-23 M S-7513 M ainboard FSB/DRAM Ratio This item will allow you to adjust the FSB/DRAM Ratio of the memory. Adjusted DRAM Frequency It shows the adjusted DRAM frequency. Adjust PCIE Frequency This field allows you to select the PCIE frequency (in MHz). Auto Disable DIM M/PCI Frequency W hen set to [Enabled], the system will remove (turn off) clocks from empty DIMM and PCI slots to minimize the electromagnetic interference (EMI). CPU Voltage / CPU GTL REF0 / CPU GTL REF1 / DRAM Voltage / DDR_VREF_A/B / NB Voltage / NB GTL REF / VTT FSB Voltage / SB Voltage These items dispaly the power status of Memory, FSB and chipset. Spread Spectrum W hen the motherboard's clock generator pulses, the extreme values (spikes) of the pulses create EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). The Spread Spectrum function reduces the EMI generated by modulating the pulses so that the spikes of the pulses are reduced to flatter curves. If you do not have any EMI problem, leave the setting at Disabled for optimal system stability and performance. But if you are plagued by EMI, set to Enabled for EMI reduction. Remember to disable Spread Spectrum if you are overclocking because even a slight jitter can introduce a temporary boost in clock speed which may just cause your overclocked processor to lock up. Important 1. If you do not have any EMI problem, leave the setting at [Disabled] for optimal system stability and performance. But if you are plagued by EMI, select the value of Spread Spectrum for EMI reduction. The greater the Spread Spectrum value is, the greater the EMI is reduced, and the system will become less stable. [. . . ] From W indows Vista/XP/2000, open the Control Panel from My Computer followed by the System icon. Choose the Hardware tab, then click the Device M anager tab. Click the "+" in front of the SCSI and RAID Controllers hardware type. The driver JMicron JM B36X Controller should appear. D-12 JMicron RAID JMicron Raid Configurer There is an application called JMRaidTool which helps you perform the following tasks of JMicron RAID. [. . . ]
