These procedures should also be a part of any seasonal tune-up. NOTE: Some maintenance procedures may require special tools or skills. Secure the new tines to the shaft with click pins. It may be necessary to wash the dirt off the tines and shaft for ease of removal. To prevent serious personal injury, always wear heavy gloves when handling the tines. Put the On/Off Stop Control in the STOP (O) position and disconnect the spark plug wire.
