Whether you travel frequently in your own country, or need to find your way around overseas, this unit will direct you to your destination without the need for map books and second-hand instructions. The Global Positioning System is available free of charge, at any time, and is accurate to within 5 m (16. 5 ft). The maps in the iCN 620 provide street level detail allowing door to door navigation they even include points of interest such as hotels, railway stations and airports. [. . . ] Select your previously programmed destination from the Shortcut list. Refer to Section 9 Programming Shortcuts for more information. The iCN 620 will calculate the route from your current position, and take you straight to the map display. If there is only one country map loaded, this will be the only option provided. Setting a New Destination Heading to an address Use the Destination option from the Main Menu to enter a street address as your destination. This could be any region such as a city, state or county. To enter a region, choose one of the following: In the text entry screen, type in a region. Once you have finished, position the cursor on the text entry line, and press OK to confirm your selection. Alternatively use the up/down toggle button to choose from the list provided, then press OK to confirm your selection. Refer to Section 6 Controls and Keyboard for more information on using the on-screen keyboard. 4 5 Select TOWN. As above, type in a town or choose from the list provided. A list of streets in your chosen town is displayed. Type in or choose your street names from the list provided. Note: if you power down before selecting GO or SAVE, your address information will be lost. 7 Choose one of the following: Select GO. The unit will calculate the route and display the address on the navigation screens. The unit will not calculate the route, but will simply display the address using the Map Browser mode. From here you can select this address as your destination or move around the map to find a different destination. Refer to Section 7 Setting Your Destination Straight From the Map for more information. This will allow you to save the destination as a Shortcut or Favourite.
