The following table explains the meaning of these messages and includes suggested actions. status Message GPS Port Closed Meaning A GPS COM port has not been opened. A GPS COM Port has been opened but no GPS data is being received. A GPS COM Port has been opened, GPS data is being received, but a GPS position fix has not yet been established. You have a valid GPS position fix and GPS data is being received. If you are in a vehicle with athermic (heat reflecting) windows, you will require an external GPS antenna (sold separately).
