See Page 4 6 8 3 Mounting to a 42-inch Plasma Monitor The speakers are marked R for use on the right side and L for use on the left side. At the time of mounting, check for the letter R or L appearing on the label at the back of the speaker, and on the mounting fittings. 1 Attach the cushions to the sides of the speakers in the positions indicated on the diagram. 2 Arrange the speakers as illustrated in the diagram below (so that the speaker terminals are at the bottom). Attach the R mounting fitting to the speaker having an R marked on the speaker label. Attach so that the guide pins of the speaker enter the holes of the mounting fitting as illustrated in the diagram below. Fasten with the included M4 X 10 screws. L L M4 x 10 L2 4 R L L Cushions R R2 4 Speaker terminal L2 4 R2 4 R Speaker terminal R Guide pins R2 4 3 Partially tighten the included M8 X 18 screws in the screw holes on the top of the monitor. 4 Hook the mounting fittings of the top portion of the speaker to the provisionally fastened screws. Next, align the holes of the speaker mounting fitting with the screw holes located at the bottom of the monitor and provisionally fasten with the included M8 X 18 screws. L 42 L 42 R 42 R 42 R 42 R 42 4 5 Fully tighten the four partially tightened screws. *Push the speaker against the monitor while driving the screw. L 42 L 42 R 42 WARNING Do not move the monitor by holding onto the speakers which have been mounted to the monitor. This could cause the monitor to fall and result in injury. Failing to do so could cause the speakers to fall and result in injury. R 42 Connecting the cords Turn off the power of all connected units before connecting the cords. Connect the monitor's SPEAKER R and L terminals with the speakers' terminals using the included connection cords. L 42 There is polarity with the conductor of each connection cord. Connect each conductor to the correct terminal. Black L 42 R 42 Red Hold down the button of the speaker terminal with your finger, insert the conductor of the connection cable, and release your finger. Cord Clamper Peel off the protective tape from the back of the clamper, then mount the clamper in the desired position and clamp the cords together. R 42 5 Mounting to a 50-inch Plasma Monitor The speakers are marked R for use on the right side and L for use on the left side. Next, align the holes of the speaker mounting fitting with the screw holes located at the bottom of the monitor and provisionally fasten with the included M4 X 20 screws. 5 0 R L 50 L 50 R 50 R 50 R 50 R 50 6 5 0 Speaker terminal R L 5 Fully tighten the four partially tightened screws. *Push the speaker against the monitor while driving the screw. L 50 L 50 R 50 WARNING R 50 Do not move the monitor by holding onto the speakers which have been mounted to the monitor. This could cause the monitor to fall and result in injury. Failing to do so could cause the speakers to fall and result in injury. Connecting the cords Turn off the power of all connected units before connecting the cords. If the cabinet is seriously stained, soak a cloth in a neutral detergent solution, wring well and, afer wiping, remove moisture by wiping with a dry colth. If you want to use a chemical cloth for cleaning, read well the caution provided with the chemical cloth product. Do not use solvent such as thinner or benzine for cleaning. [. . . ]
