Before using the camera, please read the information in “For Your Safety” (Avii-ix) and familiarize yourself with the information provided in this manual. After reading, please keep this manual handy and refer to it to enhance your enjoyment of your new camera. After cropping the image, rotate the cropped image back to “tall” orientation. E19 Connecting the Camera to a TV (Viewing Images on a TV) 1 Turn off the camera and connect it to the TV. • Make sure that the plugs are properly oriented. C Using a TV Remote Control (HDMI Device Control) The remote control of an HDMI-CEC-compatible TV can be used to select images, start and pause movie playback, switch between full-screen playback mode and four-image thumbnail display, etc. • Set the HDMI device control setting (E73) of TV settings to On (default setting) and then connect the camera and TV using an HDMI cable. • Aim the remote control at the TV when operating it. E20 Connecting the Camera to a Printer (Direct Print) Users of PictBridge-compatible printers can connect the camera directly to the printer and print images without using a computer. Take images Select images for printing and number of copies using Print order option (E45) Connect to the printer (E22) Print images one at a time (E23) Print multiple images (E25) Reference Section When printing is complete, turn the camera off and disconnect the USB cable E21 Connecting the Camera to a Printer 1 2 3 Turn off the camera. Turn on the printer. • Check printer settings. Connect the camera to the printer using the USB cable. • Make sure that the plugs are properly oriented. If the PictBridge startup screen is not displayed after the camera is turned on, turn the camera off and disconnect the USB cable. Set Charge by computer to Off and reconnect the camera to the printer. E22 Printing Individual Images 1 Use the multi selector to select the desired image and press the k button. • Move the zoom control toward f (h) to switch to thumbnail playback or g (i) to switch to full-frame playback.
