 [. . . ] Thank you for your purchase of an EH-5 AC adapter.  [. . . ] Do not apply excessive force to the DC plug or cable while the AC adapter and camera are connected. Failure to observe this precaution may result in malfunction. Before connecting the AC adapter,  be sure the camera is off. Follow these steps to connect the adapter (Figure 2): 1 Plug the AC adapter plug into the AC adapter (Figure 2-a). Open the connector cover and 2 insert the DC plug into the DC IN connector (Figure 2-b). Plug the wall plug into a power 3 o u t l e t (Figure 2-c).  t h e POWER lamp will glow showing the EH-5 is plugged in. If the POWER lamp does not light,  unplug the AC adapter and take the charger to a Nikon representative for inspection.
