After reading, be sure to keep it where it can be seen by all those who use the product. wARNING · The EN-EL1 is a rechargeable battery pack for use only with the Nikon digital camera. â· When recharging the EN-EL1, use only a compatible battery charger. â· Do not expose the battery to heat or flame. Do not short the positive and negative battery terminals with a metal object such as a necklace or keys. â· Before using the product for the first time, or before using the product following an extended period of disuse, recharge the battery with a compatible battery charger. â· If the battery will not be used for some time, run the battery flat before storing it. â· If the battery is kept in storage for a long period, charge the battery and then run it flat again at least once a year. â· Always remove the battery from the camera or battery charger when it is not being used.
