[. . . ] The SK-E900 takes flash photography a step further, simplifying the task of connecting additional Nikon Speedlights to your camera for increased range or for bounce-flash photography. The camera meters the brightness of the subject illuminated by the flash and adjusts the intensity of the built-in and external flash lamps automatically for flash photography that is at once easy and sophisticated. [. . . ] After turning off the camera and Speedlight, remove the terminal cap from the camera (Figure 1). Rotate the locking screw clockwise () to screw it part way into the camera's tripod socket. After rotating the lens section to the limit of its rotation (300°, or 270° in the case of the COOLPIX 900 model E-900s), position the camera by sliding it left or right () and rotate the locking screw clockwise () to fix the camera in place (Figure 2). Important Do not attach the camera where it will come into contact with the flash bracket when the lens section is rotated. Failure to observe this precaution could result in the camera becoming scratched. After rotating the camera lens section slightly upward, insert the lead from the multi-flash adapter into the camera's external flash terminal () and rotate the locking nut clockwise () to fix it in place (Figure 3). Insert the Nikon Speedlight accessory shoe into the flash-bracket attachment shoe () and rotate the locking ring clockwise () to fix it in place after choosing a position where the Speedlight does not contact the flash bracket (Figure 4). Adjust the position of the Speedlight by moving it left or right () to a position where it will not come into contact with the camera and rotate the flash-bracket locking screw clockwise () to fix it in place (Figure 5). If you are using a tripod with the camera and Speedlight attached to the flash bracket, attach the tripod to the flash-bracket's tripod mount (Figure 6). Figure 7 shows the flash bracket with the camera and Speedlight in place.
