Playing movies n Locating the beginning of a file While the recorder is during playback mode, press the 9 button. · The recorder skips to the beginning of the next file. 3 Playing movies n While the recorder is during playback mode, press the 0 button. · The recorder skips to the beginning of the current file. While the recorder is during playback mode, press the 0 button twice. · The recorder skips to the beginning of the previous file. EN Playing movies n To play back movies on a TV You can use any commercially available HDMI mini cable (Type D) to connect the recorder to a high definition compatible TV. Turn off the power of the recorder and TV before connecting them. Connecting with HDMI mini cable Notes · The TV video signal system varies depending on the countries and regions. Change the output signal setting in the [HDMI] setting of the recorder to match the signal of the TV ( P. 74). · For details on changing the input setting of the TV, refer to the TV's instruction manual. · Use an HDMI cable that matches the HDMI micro connector on the recorder and the HDMI connector on the TV. · Depending on the TV's settings, the displayed images and information may become cropped. · It is not possible to record sound and shoot movies while the recorder is connected via HDMI cable. · Do not connect the recorder to another HDMI output device. · When the recorder is connected to the computer by the USB cable, do not connect the HDMI cable to the recorder. · Playback will stop at the end location of the partial erase. · If you do not press the ERASE button within 8 seconds, the partial erase operation will be canceled and the recorder will return to playback mode. · [Erase start] will flash on the sub LCD. · While [Erase start] is flashing, playback continues and you can rewind or fastforward as usual to locate the erase end position quickly. If the end of the file is reached while this indication is flashing, that position will become the erase end position. EN 1 Erasing A n Notes · You cannot recover a file once it has been erased. · The file creation date will not change even if the file is partially erased. · When you partially erase a movie file, the selected start position and end position may be offset by up to approximately 1 second. · The locked files and files set as read-only cannot be erased ( P. 72). · If there is a file that cannot be recognized by the recorder, the file and the folder which contains that file will not be erased. Please connect the recorder to your PC to erase. · It may take over 10 seconds to complete processing. Never perform operations such as the following while processing, as they may damage the data.
