Changing the Speaker Impedance Value Setting The A-SV210 allows you to set the speaker impedance values according to the speakers you use, adjusting the optimum frequency characteristics against speaker loads. We recommend you set the "SPEAKER IMPEDANCE SELECTOR" setting to "8 OHMS MIN. /SPEAKER" for speakers having impedance of 8 ohms or higher. Likewise, you may want to set the setting to "4 OHMS MIN. /SPEAKER" for speakers having impedance of 4 ohms or higher. 9 Connecting the A-SV210--Continued Audio Components Connecting a CD player Use an analog audio cable (RCA/phono) to connect the A-SV210's CD L/R inputs to the analog audio outputs on your CD player, as shown. Connecting a Cassette or MD Recorder Use an analog audio cable (RCA/phono) to connect the A-SV210's LINE 2 IN L/R inputs to the MD recorder or cassette recorder's outputs, and use another analog audio cable (RCA/phono) to connect the A-SV210's LINE OUT L/R outputs to the cassette or MD recorder's inputs, as shown. Notes: · If your turntable has a ground wire, connect it to the GND screw on the A-SV210. With some turntables, connecting the ground wire may cause hum, in which case it should be disconnected. · If your turntable has a moving coil (MC) type cartridge, you'll need a commercially available MC phono preamp. Connect the phono preamp to your turntable, and then connect the phono preamp to the A-SV210's PHONO L/R inputs.
