Turn the computer so that you can see and access the internal components. You will find the hard drive at the front of the case (Fig. The hard drive has 2 screws that hold it in place. Gently pull these cables out of the drive (hold by the connector and not the cable). Take the new hard drive and replace the power and data cable. IDE data cables Connect the flat grey cable to the long row of pins. You will notice it has an `L'-shaped connection and can only be fitted one way.
