Soft skin mode
In this mode, camera detects a skin-color area, such as face, to achieve a smooth appearance of the skin.
Candle light mode
Use this mode when you want to take photos with a candle light atmosphere.

Technique for Soft skin mode To make this mode more effective: 1 Rotate the zoom lever to Tele as far as possible. 2 To maximize the effect, select a background as far as possible from the camera, and get closer to the subject.
Technique for Candle light mode · By making the most of the candle light, you can take successful pictures without using the flash. · We recommend using a tripod and the self-timer (P41) for taking pictures.
· This mode is only suitable for outdoors in the daytime. · The ISO sensitivity is fixed to [ISO80]. · If there is a color close to the skin color in the background, that part is also smoothened. · This mode may not be effective in insufficient brightness.
· The flash setting can be set to Slow sync. / Red-eye reduction [ ] or Forced ON/ Red-eye reduction [ ]. · The ISO sensitivity is fixed to [AUTO].

Party mode
Select this mode when you want to take pictures at wedding receptions, indoor parties, etc. · The ISO sensitivity is fixed to [ISO80]. · You cannot compensate the exposure or set auto bracket, burst mode or [AUDIO REC. ]. · Histograms are always displayed in orange. (P27)
· The camera is not focused when the self-timer indicator is blinking. Make sure to press the shutter button halfway again to focus. · The recorded picture automatically appears on the LCD monitor for reviewing. Refer to P36 for operations on the review function. · When the picture is blurry due to slow shutter speed, we recommend using the 2 second self-timer. (P41)
