For example, you can use this feature to set the unit to ignore the area code of callers in your area, so that you can call these local numbers using caller information without dialing the area code. To activate this feature, you must edit an entry in the caller list, then call that number. After that, phone numbers from that caller's area code are edited automatically. You can also set the unit to play a greeting message but not to record caller messages by selecting "Greeting only" as the recording time setting (page 39). Important: R Only 1 person can access the answering system (listen to messages, record a greeting message, etc. ) at a time. R When callers leave messages, the unit records the day and time of each message. Make sure the date and time have been set correctly (page 15).
