Protection category II power tool; double insulated Wear hearing protection, dust protection mask, protective glasses and protective gloves. Explosive material! Keep children and other unauthorised personnel at a safe distance when using electrical tools. Keep the device away from rain or moisture. [. . . ] J Wear close-fitting clothing and keep long hair inside a hairnet or suitable headwear. J For safety reasons this tool must always be used with the auxiliary handle in place. J The adjustable disc guard cover must always be in place when working with roughing / grinding or cutting discs. J Use the vacuum dust extraction facility if your work generates large amounts of dust. Use vacuum dust extraction devices particularly approved for the purpose. J Use permitted consumables and tools only. Check that the speed given on the discs is greater than or equal to the rated no-load speed of the device. J Ensure that the dimensions of the abrasive consumable or tool matches the grinder. J Take note of the direction of rotation and always J Safety hold the device in such a way that the sparks and grinding debris are thrown away from your body. Make sure that the dimensions of the disc are suitable for the device and that the disc is of a type that fits properly on to the mounting flange. Avoid abrading paints containing lead or other substances hazardous to health. Do not machine materials containing asbestos. Use the device for dry cutting or dry grinding only. Before you use a disc check that it is not broken, cracked or damaged in any other way. Make sure that abrasive consumables and tools are attached in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and advice. Avoid contact with a moving roughing / grinding or cutting disc. Operate the device only with an attached roughing / grinding or cutting disc. Never use the device for a purpose for which it was not intended nor with non-original parts / accessories. Use only abrasive consumables and tools with an allowable speed at least as high as the noload speed of the device!If you operate a disc at a speed higher than its permitted maximum this can lead to destruction of the disc. Make sure that the dimensions of the disc are suitable for the device. The disc must fit without play on to the mounting flange shaft. [. . . ] Switching on the device j Press the safety lock-out 3 . Then press the ON / OFF switch 2 Switching off the device j Release the ON / OFF switch 2 . GB/IE/CY 13 Operation / Maintenance and cleaning / Disposal / Information Switching on continuous operation mode j Press the safety lock-out 3 and keep it pressed. Press the ON / OFF switch 2 in the area of the safety lock-out until the latter locks. Switching off continuous operation mode: j Press and then release the ON / OFF switch 2 Rotating the hand grip j Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before you carry out any task on the device.
