Manual abstract: user guide PARTNER P531PD

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] â· Do not change the engine governor settings or overspeed the engine. Operating the engine at excessive speed may increase the hazard of personal injury. Start the engine or switch on the motor carefully according to instructions and with feet well away from the blade. â· Do not tilt the lawnmower when starting the engine or switching on the motor, except if the lawnmower has to be tilted for starting. [. . . ] Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition. â· Never store the equipment with petrol in the tank inside a building where fumes may reach an open flame or spark. â· Allow the engine to cool before storing in any enclosure. â· To reduce the fire hazard, keep the engine, silencer, battery compartment and petrol storage area free of grass, leaves, or excessive grease. If the fuel tank has to be drained, this should be done outdoors. These symbols may appear on your machine or in the literature supplied with the product. Put grass catcher frame into grass bag with stiff part of bag on the bottom. The grass catcher is secured to the lawn mower housing when the rear door is lowered onto the grass catcher frame. Do not drag the bag when emptying, it will cause unnecessary wear. The mower can be set to different cutting levels. The battery must be charged for 24 hours before use. You will prolong the life of both battery and starter if you ensure that the starter is not engaged for more than 5 seconds at a time followed by a pause of 10 seconds before you make a fresh attempt to start the machine. Fill the tank with petrol, not oil-blended. Do not fill with petrol while the engine is running. To start a cold engine, push primer (3) times before trying to start. This step is not usually necessary when starting an engine which has already run for a few minutes. â· Keep the engine brake yoke in position "IN". â· To "STOP" engine, release engine brake yoke. NOTE: In cooler weather it may be necessary to repeat priming steps. In warmer weather over priming may cause flooding and engine will not start. If you do flood the engine wait a few minutes before attempting to start and DO NOT repeat priming steps. Fill the tank with petrol, not oil-blended. [. . . ] The spark plug must be at the highest point on the mower when it is tilted up. The level should be between FULL and ADD. Note: the dipstick must be screwed all the way down in order to indicate correct oil level. Tighten the screw properly when reassembling. [. . . ]
