[. . . ] The lower of these white sockets is for passive operation.  the upper socket is for bi-amp operation. As the enclosure leaves the factory pre- patched for passive use,  the plug will be inserted in the lower socket. Simply pull out the plug and repatch it to the upper socket. The plug will be very tight in its socket. This is necessary to achieve a low loss connection.
