[. . . ] As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter "N" or coloured BLACK. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter "L" or coloured RED. DO NOT CONNECT either of these wires to the earth terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter "E" or by the earth symbol E or coloured GREEN, or GREEN AND YELLOW. Note: If the terminals of the plug are unmarked or if you are in any doubt consult a qualified electrician. [. . . ] To purify effectively the air in a domestic room and to keep it clean, the air must be cleaned 2 - 3 times per hour by the Air Cleaner. According to the air contents of the room to be treated we advise the following appliances: · On the other hand, it is also possible to place more than one Air Cleaner in the same room. This is especially advisable if the room to be treated is very large and/or has an irregular shape. Life time of (replacement) filters The effectiveness of the Air Cleaners is mainly dependent on the condition of the filtrete filter and the active carbon filter. After a period of time, these two filters will become saturated. How long it takes before these filters become full depends on these factors: - How many hours per day the Air Cleaner actually is used; - How much air pollution there is outside the house; - How much air pollution there is inside the house. With normal use (between 6-8 hours per day) and not excessively contaminated environment, the filters will last about three months. As indicated before, the life time of the filter in a very smoky environment will be much shorter. How to use Important · Read these instructions in conjunction with the illustrations before using the appliance. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Always disconnect the appliance from the wall socket before putting on or taking off parts, before cleaning and when not in use.
