Preparing for use Preparing for sterilizing Before you put the items to be sterilized in the sterilizer, clean them thoroughly in the dishwasher or clean them by hand with hot water and some liquid soap. Using the dishwasher basket (SCF288/SCF287/SCF286 only) Use the dishwasher basket to preclean the items you want to sterilize. Note: Make sure that the bottles are placed upside down. Note:You can leave the dishwasher basket inside the large basket with the two sections of the lid opened.
