[. . . ] ¶ Before fitting the satellite speakers, examine the walls to confirm that their strength is sufficient to bear the weight of the speaker system. ¶ This system is not provided with nuts and screws for installation, so select suitable ones corresponding to the qualities of your walls. ¶ If you are unsure of the qualities and strength of the walls, consult a professional for advice. ¶ Pioneer will not be responsible for any accidents or damage that result from improper installation. ¶ If fitted on a slanted wall, it may become loose and present an accident risk. NOTES: ¶ Make sure that the speaker cords are connected to the terminals securely. Insecure connections may cause not only sound to be interrupted and noise to be generated but also the cords to be shorted and the amplifier to break down. ¶ If listening to a stereo performance with the speaker system connected to a stereo amplifier and you find that the bass is insufficient, the sound is not spread out and there is no stereo effect; the cords of one of the speaker systems have been plugged into the wrong polarity terminals. Attach the speaker to the wall so that the heads of the Wall screws enter the holes in the back of the speaker, and then push the speaker downward to secure it. PIONEER disclaims all responsibility for damages that are caused by improper connection, installation, inappropriate strength of the wall, improper use and natural calamities etc. 7 Operating with the main unit 7 Operating with the main unit When selecting PHANTOM in the center mode, no test tone is output from the center speaker. When 3 STEREO is selected in the center mode, no test tone from the surround speaker is output. Center or rear sound is coming out, adjust the center level and rear level so that the test tone volume output from each speaker is the same. The BALANCE L, R buttons of this unit can be used to adjust the FRONT balance. ¶ The TEST TONE signal will not be output in the SFC mode, but the only rear level can be adjusted. If the power does not turn ON or OFF, input another code. If the number button is not pressed for 30 seconds, the setting will be canceled. ¶ Pressing buttons other than the number buttons while setting preset codes will cancel the setting. ¶ The 6 MULTI CONTROL buttons can be used to call all items preset other than the items displayed. ¶ This remote control unit is able to preserve preset settings without power for short period of times such as during replacement of batteries. Press the PRESET button, DISC button, and STANDBY/ ON button together for more than 3 seconds. After blinking three times, all settings will be canceled. [. . . ] simulates the acoustic effect of live house. Use this mode to reproduce the calm atmosphere of live concert. When SFC mode is selected, no sound is output from center speaker.
