Installing and Using Software Other Applications Software Other valuable applications software--which may already be included if you purchased a kit from Plextor--lets you use your PlexWriter drive in exciting new ways. · Packet writing software: This type of application lets you use your PlexWriter as an enormous floppy drive. You can drag and drop files straight to a CD-R or CD-RW disc. · Mastering software: In conjunction with your PlexWriter drive, mastering software lets you create discs in specific formats, such as audio, data, mixed mode, and others. NOTE: If you use a CD-R disc with packet writing software, you can't use that disc later with mastering software (and vice versa). CD-RW discs also must be used with either one type of software or the other.
