We trust you will then obtain the quality results you expect. [. . . ] After picture has been taken, the different modes remain selected until camera is turned off. K) TAKING PICTURES - OUTDOORS · Press On/Off Switch (2) to turn on camera. · "Wait" Light (10) just above viewfinder will glow red while flash is charging. Simultaneously, flash symbol " " will blink on LCD Panel (fig 7d). When red "Wait" Light turns off (and blinking flash symbol " " remains steady), flash is fully charged and camera is ready for picture taking. · View the subject through the viewfinder and select the most suitable print format by moving the Print Type Selector Switch (11) to , or setting. A frame appropriate to each of the 3 formats will appear to assist your framing of the shot. · Bring the subject closer or widen the scene (shifting subject further away) by zooming the lens. Press and hold "Tele" (13) or "Wide" (12) Zooming Switches until desired aspect is attained. · Check that you are the correct distance from your subject i. e. not closer than 0. 8m (2. 5') on wide setting and not nearer than 1. 5m (5') on Tele setting and, if in dull light, not outside the flash range (fig 11). · Hold camera steady taking care that fingers or hair do not intrude in front of Lens (7), Flash (4), Auto Focus Lenses (3) or Cds Sensor (6). Press the Shutter Release Button (1) to take the picture. · The Flash (4) will fire automatically if required to brighten the scene. · After picture has been taken the film will automatically advance to the next frame and the flash will automatically recharge. Blinking flash symbol on LCD Panel and red "Wait" Light above viewfinder indicate camera is charging. The shutter will be inhibited until the circuit is fully charged. NOTE: After picture-taking it is recommended to switch off the power to save battery power and retract lens for best protection. The power will be automatically turned off 3 minutes after last use. TIPS FOR BETTER PHOTOGRAPHS · For better results in some lighting conditions where flash will not automatically fire, fill flash may be required. See paragraph N) "FLASH PICTURES" · At very low light levels the red eye reduction feature may be needed. Refer to N) "FLASH PICTURES" for more details. · In some picture taking situations such as shooting through a window, where the camera will automatically focus on the window instead of the desired scene outdoors, infinity (long distance) focus may be desired for better picture result. The flash will also be inhibited in this mode. [. . . ] Low battery symbol blinks warning that no more pictures can be taken until battery is replaced. If no symbol appears on LCD Panel replace or reload battery correctly. Camera will not operate T) DATE AND TIME IMPRINTING The camera is capable of recording Date and Time information on the film's magnetic strip. Your film processing lab will print the Date And Time information onto the photographs.
