Before taking it into use, check to ensure that the retaining hook has a firm grip under the saddle and is securely positioned there. This could for example be on a raised edge, a cross brace or something similar. If it is not possible to secure the retaining hook on the saddle the bicycle may not be lifted with the bicycle hoist!Measure the distance between the handlebars and the seat on your bicycle. The bicycle hoist is intended to save space and relieve the tyres during bicycle storage. It is not meant to be used for commercial purposes. Transfer this measurement to the ceiling, marking the required drill-holes with the aid of a ceiling bracket.
