DESCRIPTION The PSA240 has been designed for industrial use (factories, offices, public buildings) and for any PA application. It features one line input, one line output (pre and post-master fader), allowing input and connection with other systems. it also features tone controls for high and low frequencies. The amplifier supplies a 240W power on the constant voltage output (100V) or, alternatively, on the low impedance output (8) and it features thermal protection. The PSA240 can be fed both by line power supply and 24VDC batteries. It can also be mounted on a 19" rack using the special brackets supplied with the unit. PACKING The packing of this product has undergone an integrity test according to ISTA 1A procedure. 8 EARTH CLAMP Amplifier must be connected to a 3-conductor power supply socket (earth contact). If using a power supply socket without earth contact, it is necessary to connect amplifier to ground by means of the fastening clamp. 9 24VDC POWER SUPPLY Amplifier can be powered by a 24VDC battery through + and ­ contacts. it is recommended to assure to correct polarity. When a battery is being used, the amplifier's output power reduces in relation to battery state. The ON/OFF switch does not control the amplifier's startup when it is being powered by a battery. It is recommended to use a battery with a current value able to grant amplifier operation for the time required (e. 10 TERMINAL BOARD OUTPUTS It is possible to connect passive loudspeakers for a total impedance of 8 by connecting the "-" loudspeaker terminal to amplifier "COM" terminal and "+" loudspeaker terminal to "8" amplifier terminal; or it is possible to connect constant voltage (100V) line transformer loudspeakers connecting "-" loudspeaker terminal with amplifier "COM" terminal and "+" loudspeaker terminal with amplifier "100V" terminal. Total connected loudspeaker power must remain within the amplifier's maximum output power. It is not recommended to connect low impedance loudspeakers and constant voltage line transformer loudspeakers at the same time.
