Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth and a little washing up liquid. Rub the appliance dry using a clean cloth. Remove heavy deposits from the hotplates using fine scouring powder or a scouring pad. Then heat the hotplate to a low temperature and leave to dry. To maintain the hotplates, rub in a little sewing machine oil now and again and then polish off with absorbent paper. Do not clean the stainless steel edge of the hob with scouring powder or a scouring pad as this will leave scratches!For stainless steel hobs only use suitable stainless steel cleaning and maintenance products. Please the manufacturer's instructions. The stainless steel edge of the plate can be slightly discoloured as a result of thermal load. This process is caused by the physical properties. What to do if . . . Problem The hotplates are not functioning Possible cause The combination appliance is not switched on The desired heat setting is not set. Set the heat setting. The fuse in the house's electrical Check the fuse. If the fuses trip wiring (fuse box) has been trip- a number of times, please call an ped. authorized electrician.
