Changing the Deck Height Creating multi-story and multi-level decks is easy. With just a few mouse clicks, you can design a very elaborate and elegant deck. To change deck height 1 2 3 On the Standard Toolbar, click the Selection Tool. Click the side of the deck you want to raise or lower, to select it. On the Properties Bar, in the Deck Height dialog box, type the height, in inches. A positive number raises the deck, while a negative number lowers it. 2 1 2 2 Note: Fractions of inches are entered in decimal form. To auto-elevate a cutout to a deck 1 2 2 4 2 3 Click to select the deck to which you want the cutout elevated. Press the SHIFT key and click to select the cutout you want elevated. 3 Click and move the pointer to the next cornerpoint. Repeat until you have completely drawn the deck. Important: Both the deck and the cutout must be selected. 3 Right-click on a segment of the cutout you want elevated. The cutout is elevated and creates a perfect cutout in the deck. To reshape a deck 1 2 3 On the Standard Toolbar, click the Selection Tool. Click the side of the deck you want to reshape. Click a cornerpoint; hold down the mouse button and drag. 4 Creating a Deck Cutout You can easily create a space in your deck to insert a pool or hot tub by using the Deck Cutout Tool.
