System Status 3 The System Status page allows you to view information on the emulated tape drives, robot, storage bins, and DX-Series system hardware. Accessing System Status 3 To access the System Status page, from the contents frame, click System Status. The management frame displays the System Status page (see figure 33). 54 Quantum DX-Series User's Guide Chapter 3 DX-Series Remote Management System Status Figure 33 System Status Page The system status page provides two views for the system hardware: · Physical View The physical view displays the physical representation of the virtual components (tape drives, tape cartridges, and robots) of the emulated tape library. Each drive and tape cartridge is displayed in the tape drive and storage bin sections. Clicking on a tape drive or cartridge displays the specific details for that device on the right hand side of the page. Select the partition you wish to view from the drop down list. The Show/Hide links will either display or hide information on the selected tape drive, tape cartridge, or robot. Clicking on a tape drive, tape cartridge, or robot displays detailed information about the selected device. · Logical View A logical view displays the partitions within the DX-Series system. Clicking on a partition displays the specific details for that partition on the right hand side of the page. · Events The events list displays all events that have occurred on the DXSeries system. Quantum DX-Series User's Guide 55 Chapter 3 DX-Series Remote Management System Status Viewing Tape Drive Details To view the tape drive details: 3 1 From the System Status page, select the partition from the drop down list and click the tape drive you wish to view. If a tape cartridge is present in the drive, the cartridge label will display in the contents field as well as the write protect status and capacity information.
