An allocation length of zero indicates that the media changer will return no MODE SENSE data. This is not considered an error, and GOOD status is returned. MODE SENSE may be either MODE SENSE (6) or MODE SENSE (10). MODE SENSE (6) data contains a 4-byte header followed by one 8-byte block descriptor, followed by zero or more variable length pages, depending on the Page Code and Allocation Length.
