After you enter the codes for your original remotes, the 7-in-One IR/RF Remote is ready to operate the original remotes' most used functions. The 7-in-One transmits both infrared (IR) and radio frequency (RF) signals, so you don't need to be within "line-of-sight" to control devices. For example, to find the code for your TV: 1. TV and the last entered four-digit code appear. Note: If the 4-digit code begins with zero, only the last 3-digits will appear on the display. The next most recently entered code appears. Continue pressing POWER then until your TV turns off. Then press SELECT to lock in the code and stop programming. Repeat these steps, using the appropriate device key (TV, VCR, CBL, etc. ) in Step 1 for each device you need to search. Note: If you are searching for a VCR, CD player, laser disc player, or DVD player code, turn on the device and insert a tape/CD before you begin the search. To activate your device's sleep timer, press SLEEP (SHIFT + MUTE). Most sleep timers advance in increments of 10 or 15 minutes. For specific instructions on setting your device's sleep timer, refer to the device's owner's manual. If you would like to use the 7-in-One's built in sleep timer on all of your devices, you can lock the sleep mode. Now, whenever you press SLEEP (SHIFT + MUTE), the 7-InOne will use its own built-in timer. Notes: · When using the built-in sleep timer, pressing POWER will cancel the sleep function. · Once you have activated the 7-in-One's built in sleep timer, you must keep the remote control aimed directly at the component.
