Talk and Privacy inputs on DB-15 require using momentary switches. They provide toggling behavior: hit once,  mute,  hit again,  unmute.

Peavey MediaMatrix NION typically used for audio DSP,  auto mixing and audio routing. The NION's SNMP Manager is used for all SNMP control and monitoring of Rane NM1 devices. The NION SNMP Manager reads all NM 1 control buttons and writes the indicators to each desk's NM 1 DB-15 port ­ in conjunction with the built-in NM 1 Logic Diagram (see NM 1 data sheet,  bottom of page 3)
