Chapter 2 Using the Camera's Features Setup Menu FLASH TIMER PVIEW TU OFF MODE ON You can use the Setup menu to adjust the LCD monitor brightness, turn the sound on or off, or even format the CompactFlash card. If you haven't already set the date and time, you may want to do that (see page 16). When finished, use the Navigation button to scroll to the next setting or set the Power dial to the desired mode. 4. 31 Using the Camera's Features Self Timer FLASH TIMER PVIEW TU OFF MODE ON The camera has a self timer so that you can delay when the picture is taken by a few seconds. It's especially useful when using a tripod. Set it to 3 seconds to steady any vibration caused by touching the camera right before you take a picture, or to 10 seconds to allow you time to include yourself in the picture.
