This is especially handy when you transfer videocassette tapes from camcorder recordings to disc--once you "Split the Title" you can jump from one special occasion to the next without the time consuming effort of fast forwarding through a tape. 1. Connect the VCR's Output Jacks to the DVD Recorder's Input jacks (for easy access, you can use the Front Input jacks that are underneath the door). For a connection picture using the Input jacks on the back of the DVD Recorder, go to page 56. Match the Video (yellow) and the Audio jacks (red and white) to the correct cables. Press the down arrow button to highlight Split Title or Divide Title--the Recorder cuts the recording at that point (you'll have to wait for a minute or so while the information is updated). Now you have two titles named Simon's 4th birthday. Start playing the second title, and rename it to fit the description of the event. [. . . ] Connect a set of audio/video cables to the DVD Recorder's OUTPUT VIDEO (yellow), AUDIO L (white), and AUDIO R (red) jacks, to the VCR's Input Jacks (sometimes labeled VIDEO and AUDIO L and R). Connect an RF coaxial cable to the OUT TO TV jack on the VCR and to the IN FROM CABLE/ANTENNA jack on the TV. Make sure all of the components (TV, VCR, and DVD Recorder) are plugged into working power outlets. Tune the TV to channel 3 or 4 (depending on the whether the VCR's 3/4 switch is set to 3 or 4) because the VCR is connected to the TV with an RF Coaxial Cable. [. . . ]
