Repeatasneededuntilthe ProRIDEcannotbemoved morethan1 inch (2. 5 cm) in anydirectionatthebeltpath. Thelevellineindicatoron theseatbaseshouldbe levelwiththegroundwhen thevehicleisparked. The backrestoftheProRIDE shouldbeatapproximately a45-degreeangle. 24 7 - Latch Installation REAR-FACING 8 9 9. IftheProRIDEistoo upright, loosenbothminiconnectortetherandplace atightlyrolledtowelorfoam poolnoodleunderthebase wherethechild'sfeetwillbe located. Solution: Pressdownwardonthechildrestraintarmrestand firmlypulltheslackoutoftheseatbelt. Repeat pressingonotherarmrestwhilepullingseatbelt tight. Thiswillallowthechildrestrainttocompress thevehicle'sseatandallowtheseatbelttobe furthertightened. Ifseatbeltisnotlockingcall 1-800-8-RECAROforhelp. Refertoinstallation instructions, pages21-45. TROUBLE SHOOTING 55 Problem:TheProRIDEisnotstablewhendriving. Solution: hecktoseeifthereareitemsunderthebaseand C thattheseatbeltsaretightlysecured. Remove anythingfound. Somevehicleseatsaredeeply contouredmakingitdifficulttosafelyinstallachild restraint. IftheProRIDEisnotstableduetothe vehicleseatcushions, moveittoanotherseating location.
