The safety mechanism provides protection against accidental or unintentional discharge under normal usage when properly engaged and in good working order. To engage the safety mechanism, push the button so that the RED BAND MARKING CANNOT BE SEEN. Always engage the safety mechanism when the firearm is loaded and you do not intend to shoot. Never pull the trigger when the safety mechanism is engaged. When you are ready to fire the firearm, press the safety mechanism so that the RED BAND MARKING IS SHOWING.
