Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] When using your personal groomer, basic precautions should always be observed, including the following. Read all instructions before using this groomer. Thank you for purchasing this fine Precision Pivoting Personal Groomer from Remington®. Inside you will find tips on using and caring for your groomer to help you look your best. [. . . ] Place the hair length attachment on the groomer's trimmer head and determine how much hair you want to cut. Remember, until you are familiar with using the groomer, it's always better to select a longer hair setting initially in order not to trim too much hair. Turn the groomer's power switch to ON, and begin trimming. Start trimming under your chin and, following your jawbone line, work toward your ear and upper beard line using an upward motion. Allow the hair length attachment to follow the contours of your face. When finished trimming, turn the unit's power switch to OFF. There are four positions for each attachment: Hair Length Attachment 1 Hair Length Attachment 2 0 Extra Close 0 Medium 1 Close 1 Medium Long 2 Short 2 Long 3 Medium Short 3 Extra Long To fasten the hair length attachment, place the front hooks on the hair length attachment over the front of the groomer's trimmer head, and pivot onto backside of the groomer's trimmer head to lock into place. To remove, push up on tab on back of hair length attachment. For assistance or help, call our customer service at 800-736-4648 in the U. Be patient when first using your Remington Precision® Pivoting Personal Groomer. As with any new product, it may take a little while to familiarize yourself with it, especially if you are using a groomer for the first time or are using a different brand. Take the time to acquaint yourself with your new groomer, as we are confident you will receive years of enjoyable use and complete satisfaction. You will need a hand mirror for this operation if performing it alone. The mirror is not necessary if trimming is performed by a second person. Before you begin, remove the hair length attachment, and make sure that the wide trimmer blade is in position. If the narrow, nose and ear trimmer is up, press the button on the back of trimmer head to allow the pivoting head to swivel the wide trimmer (beard/neckline) to the up position. Use your fingers to lift the hair at the base of your head up off the neck. Your index finger should be covering the roots of the hairs you are lifting to prevent accidental removal by groomer. Using your other hand, hold the groomer horizontally to the base of your neck with the cutting unit facing up, and move the groomer along the length of the neck until the unit touches your finger covering the hair roots at the base of your head. Repeat this procedure for the entire area of the neck. Be sure to move the unit slowly when performing this operation and to keep the hair roots at the base of your head out of the way of the groomer. Use the hand mirror to inspect the results of the operation and ensure all hairs along the nape of the neck have been trimmed. [. . . ] Groomer should always be shut off during cleaning. Do not apply pressure or hard objects to cutters. Do not use harsh or corrosive cleaners on unit or cutters. Cleaning with brush Thoroughly brush and blow out hair clippings from cutter, bottom of attachments and top of power handle. [. . . ]
