Twingo meets three criteria: the vehicle produces CO2 emissions lower than 140 g/km, it is manufactured in an ISO 14001 certified factory, minimising its environmental impact, and it includes at least 5% recycled plastic in its plastic mass. The vehicle has been designed in such a way that 95% of the materials used could have a second life (recyclable for other use or as a source of energy), and that pollution control at the end of the vehicle's life (in particular extraction of fluids) is made easier.
