[. . . ] This pedal runs on a 9 Volt Battery, if a 9Volt DC adapter is the used please follow adapter manufacturer's operation instructions. Only used attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. Do not use this product with any case, stand tripod, bracket or table that is not specified by the manufacturer. [. . . ] The more "flat" the note is, the faster the LED will flash. In Tune LED - when the note being played is "in tune" this LED will light. Sharp Indicator LED - this flashing LED will light if the note being played is sharp. The more "sharp" the note is, the faster the LED will flash. Calibration Button - this button is used to calibrate the X-Tune to match the pitch of any instrument or audio source (like an old piano or tape player). For details on this function - see section titled "X-Tune Calibration. " DC 9V Input - To use external power (not provided) use only a 9-Volt DC adapter Input - Using a standard guitar cable with a 1/4" jack, plug your guitar into this jack. OUT TO AMP - Continuous Output Jack - If you would like to be able to hear the guitar note while tuning connect a standard guitar cable with a 1/4" jack connect to your next effect or directly into your amplifier. OUT TO AMP - Mute Silent Tuning Jack - If you would like to be able to mute the output of your guitar going to your amplifier or next stomp box so that you can tune in silence - connect a standard guitar cable with a 1/4" jack connect to your next effect or directly into your amplifier. 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 Descriptions Continued 11 On/Off Switch - This switch determines whether the pedal is "on" or "off" - When ON the blue LED will be lit. 9-Volt Battery Compartment - to access pull on small tab labeled "OPEN". Always remember to unplug your guitar cords from the pedal to conserve battery life. Some battery drain may take place when unit is plugged in (even if the unit is bypassed). 12 X-Tune Calibration To match the pitch of any instrument or audio source (like an old piano or tape player) press the "Calibration" button while simultaneously playing the note on the instrument. (Note: you might have to first tune one string on the guitar or bass by ear to match the actual note if the piano is out of standard tuning or if the tape player you are playing along with runs slower or faster than normal). Once you have one note on the guitar tuned to the source - simply play that note on the guitar while the note is "ringing" press the Calibration button. The tuning pitch of the tuner will automatically be shifted to match the pitch of the audio source. Release the button and tune the remaining strings as normal with the tuner The tuner at this point has automatically adjusted the tuning range to match that pitch. To reset the tuner to standard 440Hz pitch turn off the tuner and then back on again with the footswitch (see controls - point 11). LED Functions (detailed) 1 Flat Indicator LED - this flashing LED will light if the note being played is flat. The more "flat" the note is, the faster the LED will flash. Tune the string up until the LED stops flashing and the "IN TUNE" LED lights. [. . . ] Step 6 - Continue steps 2-5 but using your other strings on your guitar or bass.
