It is strongly recommended to keep children away from the cooking zones while they are in operation or when they are switched off, so long as the residual heat indicator is on, in order to prevent the risks of serious burns. ⷠDo not touch the heat zones during operation or for a while after use. ⷠWhen cooking with fats or oils, take care always to watch the cooking process as heated fats and oils can catch fire rapidly. Boil up times 15/25 % faster then standard ribbon heater (level of improvement depends on cookware quality and quantity of liquid heated). The temperature rise of this surface unit is extremely rapid. It is suitable for frying meat, rapid boiling and intensive cooking where a hight temperature is required for a very short period of time. 1 - HOB ON/OFF BUTTON 2 - COOKING ZONE SELECTION BUTTON 3 - HEAT LEVEL DISPLAY, RESIDUAL HEAT INDICATOR DISPLAY 4 - "-" TOUCH 5 - "+" TOUCH 6 - TIMER SELECTION BUTTON 7 - TIMER DISPLAY 8 - CONTROL LOCKING BUTTON WITH INDICATOR LAMP 9 - Cooking zone programming indicator : when displayed, it shows that the timer controls the cooking zone 10 - CONTROL LED : . Hold down the + or - button and the heat level increases or decreases gradually. To activate the second additional cooking zone : - Press again on the additional cooking zone button . The second control led corresponding comes on. To deactivate one or the two additionnal cooking zones, press once time or two times on the additional cooking zone button. The first touch activates the standard cooking zone 2100 W, adjustable from 0 to 9. To operate the 3200 W cooking zone (2100 W + 1100 W), - Press on the cooking zone button, press the "+" button until the level "9", release the button briefly and press it again, the second cooking zone 1100 W comes on and completes the first. This cooking is not supplied with the fast heater operation. The control LED near the heat level must be displayed, it shows that the zone is live. [. . . ] Only use flatbottomed utensils, that are heavy and have a diameter at least the same as the cooking zone. small scratches or abrasions on the hob's glass surface · Incorrect cleaning or rough-bottomed pans are used; particles like grains of sand or salt get between the hob and the bottom of the pan.
