[. . . ] ⷠAs an additional safety measure, we recommend the installation of a residual current difference device in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom, acting at not more than 30 mA. The installation of the appliance and its use must however comply with the standards in force in your country. ⷠCaution : Never use your appliance with wet hands or near water contained in bath tubs, showers, sinks or other containers. ⷠWhen using the appliance in the bathroom, unplug it after use as the presence of water nearby may pose a danger even when the appliance is turned off. [. . . ] Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. ⷠIf the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. ⷠStop using your appliance and contact an Authorised Service Centre if: - your appliance has fallen. The appliance must be unplugged: - before cleaning and maintenance procedures. - as soon as you have finished using it. - if you leave the room, even momentarily. Do not immerse or put under running water, even for cleaning purposes. ⷠDo not hold with damp hands. ⷠDo not hold the appliance by the casing, which is hot, but by the handle. ⷠDo not unplug by pulling on the cord, rather pull out by the plug. ⷠForm a lock of hair 2 to 3 cm wide. ⷠOpen the grip (H) by pressing down on the lever (G) and slip the tip of your hair between the tube and the grip. ⷠRelease the grip (H) to close it. ⷠCheck that the tip of your hair is rolled around the grip, in the direction of the curl. ⷠUse your other hand to support the stay cool tip (K). ⷠTurn the appliance in order to wind the lock of hair around the appliance. ⷠCarry on turning the lock of hair, moving up towards the scalp, taking care not to burn yourself. f · Keep the curling iron in this position for around 20 seconds (longer for tighter curls). ⷠUnravel the curling iron halfway and then open the hair grip by pressing down on the lever to release the hair. ⷠRepeat as often as necessary using a new section of hair to make new curls. [. . . ] To give more volume: you can divide the curls up with your fingers. ⷠTo obtain very tight curls: only wind small sections of hair around the appliance at a time. ⷠFor more wavy curls: wind bigger sections of hair around the appliance. ⷠTo ensure the hair ends behave themselves: check that the ends are properly wound under the hair grip, in the direction of the curl.
