READ THE USER'S MANUAL Please read the user's manual before starting or operating this machine. Follow operating instructions and safety precautions in this manual. [. . . ] The surfaces of a workpiece are commonly referred to as faces, ends, and edges. No-Hands Zone The area between the cutting lines on the left and right sides of the mitre table base. This zone is identified by "no-hands" labels placed inside the cutting lines on the mitre table base. The operator's hands must stay clear of this area during all sawing operations. CAUTION In order to avoid motor damage, sawdust should be frequently vacuumed out to keep it from blocking normal motor ventilation. If the motor does not start, release the trigger switch immediately. Check that nothing is preventing the saw blade from turning. If the blade is not blocked, try to start the motor again. If the motor stalls suddenly while you are cutting wood, release the trigger switch, unplug the tool, and move the workpiece away from the blade. Then restart the motor and finish the cut. Fuses may "blow" and circuit breakers may trip frequently if: a. Place the saw on a firm, level surface where there is plenty of room for handling and properly supporting the workpiece. Support the saw so the table is level and the saw does not rock. Secure the saw in the desired location on a work bench. the base of the saw has four holes for mounting purposes. If the saw is to be used in one location, fasten it to the work bench. 5) The sawhead lock (21) prevents the unintentional lowering of the sawhead onto the saw table. [. . . ] To lock the saw blade in position, depress the lock knob and turn the saw blade with the other hand until the lock engages. - Do not overtighten the arbor bolt with the tightening spanner. After tightening the arbor bolt, release the lock knob and turn the blade by hand to check that it spins freely. Put the cover back in place over the arbor bolt and tighten both screws. [. . . ]
