Any deviations from the programmed path of the joint are compensated automatically both laterally and in height by the APN; this allows it to keep the torch head in an exact position above the path of the seam. In conjunction with a master machine, the system can be controlled by means of digital inputs and outputs via DeviceNet, Interbus or Profibus.
