In order to receive the best return for that investment, it MUST receive periodic maintenance. Maintenance and Cleaning should be scheduled at a minimum of twice per year. Remove and discard all ice from the storage bin. Locate the reservoir drain and drain the reservoir. If the reservoir doesn't drain completely, disconnect the pump hose attached to the water distributors and place the end of the hose in a bucket. Switch the Wash/Off/Ice switch to Wash, and allow the pump to discharge the rest of the water. Reattach the hose to the water distributors. Mix 8 ounces of Scotsman Ice Machine Cleaner with 1 gallon of warm (950F. - 1150F. ) water and pour into the reservoir until full.
