The message "Clear paper path. " will appear in the display along with an illustration showing paper misfeed locations. q If paper becomes accidentally torn during removal, be sure to remove all pieces. Be careful not to damage the photoconductive drum. q For misfeeds in optional equipment, see their respective sections of the operation manual. 5KEY OPERATOR Changing of the display colour can be disabled via a key operator program. Misfeed in the paper feed area 1 Open the bypass tray and the side cover. 2 Gently open the front cover. COPIER TROUBLE? 70 MISFEED REMOVAL 3 Carefully remove the misfed paper. Turn the roller rotating knob in the direction of the arrow to assist in removing it. Roller rotating knob WARNING: The fusing unit is hot. CAUTION: Do not touch the photoconductive drum (green portion) when removing the misfed paper. Doing so may damage the drum and cause smudges on copies. 4 Close the front cover and the side cover. q Confirm that the misfeed display has been cleared. B.
