If you wish to know the time remaining or cancel, select ALARM CLOCK in INFORMATION DESK. If all sound is off, the oven will beep at the designated time. CONTRAST: Normally there is no need to change the display contrast; however, should you wish to do so, touch DARKER or LIGHTER until the contrast is as desired, and then touch the ENTER key. Be cautious when touching LIGHTER so that the display is always readable. The selected contrast does not change even if the electrical power supply is interrupted. 25 INFORMATION DESK (Continued) KITCHEN TIMER: You can use the KITCHEN TIMER for timing where microwave cooking is not involved. For example, to time boiled eggs cooked on a conventional hob, to monitor the standing time for microwaved food or to remind you of the time when making a phone call. Example: To set the timer for 5 minutes to boil an egg on a conventional hob. 1. Select USEFUL INFORMATION in INFORMATION DESK.
