P q The P in the display corresponds to the position of the first original to be copied onto an insert sheet. In this example, press key 3 and then the PROGRAM key. q The entered number will be displayed on the bottom line of the message display. CA 29 I INSERTS INFORMATION PROGRAM 8 P CLEAR ALL Enter the remaining positions as in step 7 and then press the PROGRAM key again to end the sequence. q MAKING COPIES Inserts Enter page numbers in ascending order. To correct an entry error, press the SCROLL DISPLAY key. The following message will appear. 1 4<M095> q q CA USE 10-KEY PAD TO INDICATE TRAY FOR INSERT PAPER. In the example to the left, these are positions 3 and 5. Place the originals face down in the RADF tray and press the COVERS/INSERTS key. q MAKING COPIES 5 3 2 4 6 1 1 <M086> USE 10­KEY PAD TO SELECT ORIGINAL TO COPY MODE. " will appear when the staple cartridge is empty. Replace the staple cartridge as follows: 1 Open the stapler cover. 2 Pull the empty staple cartridge up and out to remove it. q Do not remove the staple cartridge unless the message "ADD STAPLES. " is displayed. Doing so will cause the stapler to jam. Protector 3 Remove the protective covering from a new staple cartridge and check to ensure the staples are all stacked within the cartridge. q I I No staple sheet should be protruding into the staple guide. If one is, push it back into the staple cartridge. [. . . ]
