By saving presentation slides as BMP or JPEG images you can do an entire presentation wirelessly. Capture & Transfer This mode allows you to transmit an image of what is currently displayed on your monitor. This is as simple as pressing the "Capture & Transfer" button in the application. Infrared connection Refer to the projector operation manual for details. Optional RS-232C cable 7 Installing the Software This software can be installed using the installation programme supplied on the "Sharp Advanced Presentation Software CD-ROM". Using infrared communications (IrCOM) Infrared communication is available for transferring images. The PC requires a built-in infrared communications port or an external infrared communications adapter. q For Windows 95 users: Microsoft IrDA 2. 0 (Infrared Driver) has to be installed on your PC to use this software. If it is not installed, you can obtain it from the Microsoft's site on the Internet. q For Windows 98 users: Microsoft Windows 98 supports IrDA communications as a default programme. Please consult the Microsoft operation manual for more details. 1 2 3 4 5 Insert the "Sharp Advanced Presentation Software CD-ROM" in the CD-ROM drive. Double click the "My Computer" icon. Saving a Custom Image 3 4 Click the "File" menu to select "Wireless (IrCOM) or RS-232C". The image can be sent either wirelessly (via IrCOM) or via the RS-232C serial port of the projector and PC. Select the desired image and transfer it to the projector. Then saving is completed. w To execute this procedure via Presentation Transfer, see page 22. w To execute this procedure via Capture & Transfer, see page 25. The "Startup Image Transfer" mode saves one image file only and overwrites the previously transferred image if you send another image file. To avoid erasing the custom image, you should change the transfer mode to "Image Transfer" after sending the custom image. 21 Transferring Images Presentation Transfer This mode makes it possible to transfer images saved as BMP or JPEG files to the projector. [. . . ] H Avoid using this function under strong lighting conditions. Strong light sources such as sunlight or fluorescent lighting may interfere with image transmissions. H Check that the projector is in the IrCOM mode before transferring images from the PC.
